Insomnia
Al Pacino stars as a veteran New York cop sent to Alaska to investigate the murder of a teenage girl.
There he meets Robin Williams, a crime novelist who tries to control the murder investigation as if it is one of his books.
The cop commits a mistake that leads to a man's death, and as he tries to cover it up the killer gains a hold over him.
Pacino is plagued by his guilt, as well as lack of sleep caused by the non-stop Alaskan sunlight.
