For the second week running half the matches in the League had to be played without an official referee and this with a reduced programme. To make matters worse, the appointed referees at Cross Hills and Grindelton failed to turn up without letting anyone know. What the solution is going to be is defeating the League officials who are at their wits end trying to attract referees to the League.

Cross Hills started well against Skipton Bulldogs, played some good football without scoring and paid the penalty when Dogs broke away to make it 2-0. Robert Smith was on form for Hills and opened their account in the second half, they pushed for an equaliser but an inspired display by the Dogs' keeper denied them and, as often happens, two late goals gave Bulldogs a flattering win.

Oxenhope Recreation visited Embsay looking to keep their 100% record intact but found the home defence in good form a goalless draw was the end product.

Keighley Lifts went to the top with a resounding victory at previously unbeaten Grassington United, giving a great performance to record a 7-2 win. Lifts were 4-0 up after 15 minutes and totally dominated the match, adding three further goals. Grassington replied with two but the game belonged to Lifts. The scorers were Jimmy Jackson (2), Chris Brown (2), Stewart Kinnear, Steven Cook and Anthony Cooper.

In Division One, Bronte Wanderers Reserves entertained Horton and after a close match the points were shared at one goal each. Bronte started well and had Horton on the back foot without scoring until Munzar Nazir hit a great opening goal. The second half saw Horton begin to get into the match and they equalised to take a point, leaving Bronte ruing the many missed chances.

Cowling lost 4-2 away to Colne Shepherds. Colne had the upper hand in the opening stages and took an early lead but Cowling hit back with an equaliser. Colne regained their lead and despite fighting for every ball, Cowling lost their way and Colne added two more goals for the points.

Oxenhope Reserves won a close match at home to Embsay Res. Defences on top throughout, the decisive goal coming from a poorly defended ? Lee ? heading home.

Lothersdale scored through Curtis Hall in the opening stages of their match against Waddington then sat back and let the visitors equalise to make it 1-1 at half time. A change in the front line saw Mark Westfall regain the lead for Dale the substitute and Keslinke headed home from close range and Waddington were well beaten. Curtis Hall finishing off the scoring after beating two defenders, to complete a 4-1 victory.

Keighley Lifts Reserves played out a thrilling Division two derby with Silsden Athletic and after 90 minutes the scores were level at 2-2. Lifts were on top from the start and Chris Norris put them ahead after 10 minutes, McManus passed to Ishaq Zaman who raced upfield before sliding the ball to Norris who slotted home. The second goal came just on half time when Lee Isherwood latched onto a great ball from Shafaq Sulleman and lashed it home. Lifts needed to keep the football flowing in the second half but they allowed Silsden back in and an early goal saw Silsden's hopes revived. Panic in Lifts defence ended with Silsden getting a penalty to draw level. They were happy to soak up the pressure in the last quarter and hang on to a point.
