Bobby Vanzie has been left in the cold by his boxing promoters after two poor performances.

Vanzie (pictured) is not on the Sports Network show at Derby on November 23.

While Bradford counterpart Junior Witter's light-welter WBO final eliminator is the chief support to headliner Johnny Nelson, Vanzie - planning for a similar crack at the world lightweight crown - does not feature on the undercard.

It is another blow for Vanzie who has had a terrible year. But the snub will not come as a total shock after promoter Frank Warren walked out before the end of Vanzie's eight-round struggle against Russian Andrei Devyataykin a fortnight ago.

Witter fights WBO inter-continental champion Guiseppe Lauri from Italy to become the No 1 challenger to DeMarcus Corley's world belt.

He said: "Lauri has done well since losing to Ricky Hatton a couple of years ago. It took Hatton five rounds to get to him then and he's obviously improved since.

"I'm definitely going for another stoppage but it might take a few rounds. I'm certainly not looking at it as an easy job."

The undercard includes former Karmand Centre amateur Terry Fletcher, now boxing out of Birmingham.

Tickets priced at £30 for reserved seats and £75 ringside are available from the Plantation restaurant in Manningham and JK Hirst on Thornton Road.
