Nessfield Primary School celebrated the opening of its new school building.
Keighley's Deputy Mayor Cllr Nick Lajszczuck and town crier Mike Walton, along with officials from constructors Irwins, were present to watch nine-year-old Katie Lewis unveil the plaque on the new building.
Katie was given the honour of officially opening the building after her model of a globe won an art competition among pupils to make something showing a new beginning.
The new block, which took 12 months to build at a cost of around £1m, will provide the school with a new hall, four classrooms and changing rooms.
The extra space has also enabled the old school hall to be converted into a further two classrooms and the school's first purpose built library. Head teacher Sandra Antcliffe said: "I'm delighted with the new accommodation. It has really made a difference to the pupils and staff."
