An Eastburn boy's boots were made for walking and that's just what they did to clock up the miles and the pounds for charity.
Adam Holdsworth, 10, of Eastburn Junior and Infants School, did a sponsored walk with his dad to raise £192 for Save The Children.
He completed a gruelling five hour walk around Ingleborough and still had enough energy to play out afterwards.
His father Robert said: "Adam and I do like to go walking and he thought it would be a good idea to raise money this way.
"He did really well and all the money helps so he's pleased."
The school has close links with the Save The Children charity and for the past ten years has tried to raise funds annually.
Local volunteers at the charity Judith Bousfield and Wendy Mann praised the efforts of the school.
Mrs Bousfield said: "We are always grateful when people raise money for us and Adam has done so well, it's such a good effort.
"Over the last three years the school has raised almost £1,000.
"Their harvest collection raised £270 this year and as well as Adam we'd also like to thank Sophie Newton from the school who raised £10 with a sponsored bilberry pick."
