Cricketer Paul James Wilkinson bowled a maiden over.

And he has enjoyed the match of his life - to ambulance technician Sally Elizabeth Hirst. They were married at Keighley Shared Church.

Paul - a licensed conveyancer by profession, who plays cricket for Keighley's first XI - is the younger son of David and Brenda Wilkinson, of Long Lee Lane, Keighley.

Sally is the only daughter of John and Sue Hirst, of Moorland Terrace, Thwaites Brow.

The bride wore an ivory crystal and diamante embroidered bodice and full skirt, a long train in heavy duchess satin, and a three-quarter-length ivory veil with a pearl and crystal tiara. She carried a bouquet of cream roses, freesia and lilies.

Chief bridesmaid was Stephanie Blowes and other bridesmaids were Michelle Blakeley and Lindsay Hudson, and children Bethany Hirst (bride's niece) and Hannah Wilkinson (bridegroom's niece).

The older bridesmaids wore full-length burgundy dupion dresses piped in ivory, with matching Georgette stoles, and they carried cream and burgundy hand-tied roses and berries.

The children wore full-length ivory tulle dresses with burgundy satin sashes, and carried teddy bears.

Best man was Peter Goldsborough and groomsmen were Mark Burns, Richard Hirst (bride's brother) and Richard Wilkinson (bridegroom's brother).

Some guests jetted in from Sydney, Australia, for the ceremony.
