THREE HORSES put the ball in the net straight from the kick-off against Albert Hotel.

The shell-shocked Hotel side soon picked themselves up and within minutes they were back on level terms. However, they did not stay level for long as Three Horses continued to pile on the pressure.

They had secured a 5-1 lead by half time and although they were not quite as rampant in the second period there was no way back for the Albert. Horses scored two more while the home side scored their second goal to bring up a final scoreline of 7-2 to Three Horses.

Scorers for three Horses were Chris Smith (2), Simon Perryman (2), Leon Best, Andy Aspinall, Jamie Rowell and an own goal.

Shoulder of Mutton went of the competition to a strong Crossflatts side 2-0. Both the Flatts goals came in the first half - and one of those was an own goal. Shoulder hit the crossbar twice but could just not find the back of the net.

Bocking entertained Wilsden Villagers in an Alliance League 'derby' and proved too strong for the young Wilsden side. Bocking hammered in seven goals in the first half and added another in the second period while keeping a clean sheet.

Six of the goals were scored by Gary Binns and the others by Darren Midgeley.

Sandy Lane were at home to BCA who had five of their players out and went down 4-1 to their more experienced opponents. Despite the defeat they could still take credit from their depleted performance.

Fleece faced a tough task away to high flying Boltmakers, particularly as they were without their two experienced central defenders, and were using their third keeper in as many matches. Although they lost 8-1 the score line did not truly reflect the game in which Fleece has as many scoring chances as their opponents.

In an even first half 30 minutes passed before Bolts opened the scoring and two minute later Fleece were back on level terms when Danny smith found the net. Bolts scored two more to secure a 3-1 interval lead.

Playing downhill in the second half Boltmakers enjoyed slightly more of the play and found the net five times, but Fleece continued to create chances but just could not find the back of the net. Allan Skayman was man of the match for Fleece and once again referee Glyn Butterfield had a great game.

Keighley Athletic enjoyed a comfortable cruise through to the second round of the competition when they beat Cavendish 8-0.
