JASON RAMSHAW is set to part with one of his most prized possessions after Sunday's 'Testimonial Classic' showdown between the ex-Cougars and the club's current squad.

He is to hold an after-match auction with the shirt in which he wore on the night the club won the Third Division championship, one of the top items on offer.

"Everyone remembers that Good Friday evening back in 1993 - it must be one of the most memorable games ever to be played at Cougar Park," Rammy said.

It was the night that Keighley fans set a Division Three crowd record, with 5,400 people packed into the ground, and many more were locked out as they took on Batley.

Within two minutes the club's inspirational leader, Joe Grima, was back in the changing room after being sent off.

An impressive second half performance finally brought a 34-10 victory for the Cougars despite a mud bath of a pitch, and celebrations continued despite a torrential downpour which left fans soaked to the skin.

"It was almost impossible to tell one team from the other at the end of the match because everyone was covered in mud.

"My mum has washed that shirt about 20 times, but it still has the mud stains on it and brings back some superb memories," he said.

The shirt has been framed together with pictures from the match and will be the centre-piece of the auction.

"There will be other memorabilia which should bring back memories for all Cougar fans," he added.

Sunday's game is due to kick off at 3pm, but before the match there will be a parade of former stars starting at 2.30.

A family disco is to be held in the downstairs bar at the club and it is planned to re-live some of the club's greatest moments on video in the Executive Suite.

"I hope it will be a true family day and although I hope the weather will be good, if it rains we can always recreate the Good Friday atmosphere 1993!"
