Avenue manager Trevor Storton today called for a ground-share with Bradford City.

The UniBond boss believes a move to the Bradford and Bingley Stadium could boost crowds and attract players to the ambitious non-league club.

Two players have turned down moves to Avenue in the past fortnight and Storton believes better facilities might have helped secure the signings while benefiting current players and fans alike.

"It is something that needs to be looked into it," said Storton, whose side sit third in the UniBond Premier League.

"A move to Valley Parade would be good for everyone at the club. It would help bring in players and it would give spectators a better place to watch their football.

"I think sports clubs in the city should work together and this is a move that should be looked into.

"I don't want to see a move just to give us a better ground, but it would be a great place to play while we look for a permanent solution."

Avenue had looked into the possibility of a move to Odsal but it was a non-starter for the Bulls so the ambitious club have been looking at other options.

But City would rubbish any such ground share because it is not financially viable. They are also keen to avoid double wear and tear on the pitch since the Bulls returned to Odsal.
