A galaxy of stars will be turning out at Cougar Park tomorrow for Jason Ramshaw's testimonial.

Former fans' favourites will go head to head with the current crop of Keighley players in the hall-of-famer's benefit game.

Nick Pinkney, Simon Irving, Matt Foster, former international winger Jason Lee and Brendan Hill will be among those returning for the game.

And even the legendary Joe Grima, pictured below, is hoping to make an appearance - if he can make it back from Barcelona in time.

The day starts with a 2.30pm parade on the Cougar Park pitch with fellow hall-of-famer Terry Hollindrake joining the players for a pre-match presentation.

Substitutions will feature heavily as a squad of at least 25, including assistant coach Paul Moses, will take on the current team.

Although Karl Smith, Phil Stephenson and Paul Ashton will be absent, new signings Gareth Hewitt and Ricky Helliwell will be on display.

There will be a family disco in the bar after the game and the festivities are expected to go on through the night.

It will be Ramshaw's first appearance in a Cougar shirt - he will be playing a half for both teams - since the miserable defeat at Swinton earlier in the season.

And that loss has helped the inspirational hooker decide his future with the club.

"I don't want that terrible game to be my last for the Cougars," said Ramshaw, who played in only 11 games last season before undergoing a shoulder operation.

"I don't know exactly what will be happening next year, I have new work commitments so it is up to Gary Moorby whether he wants me as part of his plans.

"I am back to fitness again and am looking forward to playing tomorrow.

"I would like to see all the Cougar fans from over the years come out and see their old heroes. It would be great to see people who haven't been down to Cougar Park for a while.

"If they come and see their old favourites they might want to keep coming down and support the new Cougars next season."

This will be the second game in Ramshaw's benefit year Leeds Rhinos came down in February for a match which suffered from a last-minute move to midweek due to a heavy-handed RFL directive.

But a big crowd is expected tomorrow in a show of support for the loyal player who remained with the Cougars through some difficult years.

Still to come in his benefit year is a band night at Cougar Park on November 15, an all-day pool competition on November 24 and a dinner dance on November 29 at the Five Flags Hotel in Cullingworth as the testimonial finale.
