FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD Keith Shackleton is taking the first steps on his way to top of Rugby League.
After starting out as a junior with Cougar Cubs, he now has a scholarship with Bradford Bulls, and has just been selected to prepare for an Under-15 Test Match against France next year.
Last month he took part in Rugby League's National Player Development Camp held near Sheffield.
He is a pupil at Oakbank School and plays as a full back.
Keith is in the initial 28-man squad which will prepare for next February's international and will be fighting for a place in the final 18.
He started playing rugby league with the Cubs Under-10s team and was a member of the Cubs Under-13s team which reached the final of the Bradford Cup
He recently joined Shipley team Victoria Rangers.
