The Rev. Valerijan Strbac, chairman of the Serbian Orthodox Church, who recenlty bought the Methodist Chruch in Little Horton Lane, Bradford, has died. Father Strbac, who was born in Yugoslavia, entered the Church on leaving school. He was a priest with the pro-British army during the 1939-1945 War, and before moving to Halifax in 1954, spent several years in Italy and Germany.

Some 50 Scouts of the Bradford Boy Scouts' Association, Rover Scout Section, attended the open weekend camp in the grounds of St. Bede's Grammar School, Heaton. The camp, the first for some years, covered a wide range of scouting activities from a talk on potholing to swimming.
