Police want to speak to a man about a theft and attempted fraud at a Shipley store.
On October 25, a car was broken into in Bedale, North Yorkshire, and a wallet, mobile phone and cheque book were stolen.
Six days later, the man being sought walked into a general store in Bradford Road, Shipley, and tried to use a credit card taken from the wallet.
A member of staff seized the card and the man said he would come back later and hurried out of the shop.
He was described as being in his mid-40s and around six feet tall. He had a moustache and short, dark hair.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
