Bracken Ghyll: Weather conditions during January have varied between Arctic and monsoon but the course has stood up well and all competitions are on schedule with no backlog.

Robert Hosier followed up his January Monthly Medal win by taking the Monthly Stableford as well. Full results were:

The Seniors' January Stableford resulted in a win for George Burrell with 42 points off 19 from Ian Crowther 36 (22) and Clive Bell 35 (20).

After the sixth round of the TTG Winter League Nick and Richard Cook have surged to the top. The eight qualifying positions for the second stage are now as follows:

BEN RHYDDING LADIES: The first social event of the year organised by the Ladies was a work out to shed any extra pounds gained over the Christmas period and to prepare the ladies for the busy season ahead.

The evening, which was well attended, was a highly successful and entertaining event finished off with a cheese and wine treat.

The following day saw the first of the Lady Captain's charity events a four-ball, better-ball competition. Winners were Sue Atkins and Sue Hartley. Joint second were Jill Guthrie and Shirin Borrett and Linda Smith and Julie Cowan.
