Thackley's hastily rescheduled Northern Counties East Premier Division clash at Selby Town last night beat the weather but fate still conspired against them completing a fixture as the game was abandoned at half-time due to a power failure.
Following Saturday's debacle when the team were in their kit in the dressing room at Glasshoughton Welfare only for the referee to declare the pitch unfit just 45 minutes before kick-off it was another wasted journey for Andy Taylor's men.
"The pitch was fine but we got to half-time and the lights went out. We are not having much luck at the moment," said Thackley secretary Stuart Willingham.
"It wasn't a floodlight failure, just a power cut that affected a small area. We were plunged into darkness during the half-time break.
"The referee left it until 9.30pm but by that time the pitch was frosting over again so it was abandoned. When we left Selby at just before 10pm the power came back on."
Thackley were leading 1-0 at the interval after a spectacular overhead kick from James
Riley.
The clubs attempted to re-schedule for tomorrow night but Selby could not put off an Academy game to accommodate the switch.
