Bradford City chairman Gordon Gibb will not be joining forces with his Crystal Palace counterpart Simon Jordan in a crusade for video technology during games.

Both chairmen saw their sides suffer at the weekend when refereeing decisions went against them.

Jordan saw a blatant goal wiped out against Leeds United in their FA Cup fifth-round game at Selhurst Park and claimed it could cost his club millions of pounds in lost revenue, while City claimed Brighton's winning goal had not crossed the line.

Jordan said: "People seem to think it's a quaint thing when human error comes into play but I don't. The monetary loss for clubs is so huge that you've got to start doing things properly."

But Gibb disagreed, saying: "You can moan all the way to the Second Division. A bad decision led to us losing three points. But if we had put one in the onion bag ourselves we would not have lost.

"I won't be wasting my time on video replay crusades. There will be no joining of forces with Simon Jordan."

There is no love lost between the pair, who were due to meet this evening for a re-arranged Nationwide Division One game, only for the match to be called off at 7pm last night because of a frozen pitch.

The match was originally due to be played on January 11, but the game was postponed just four hours before kick-off. Again a frozen surface was the culprit.

That decision triggered a war of words between the two chairmen. Jordan said the Bantams were "wholly irresponsible by inisisting the game was on".

But Bantams club secretary Jon Pollard said Palace had agreed with yesterday's decision: "Trevor Francis was fully in agreement with the postponement. He saw the conditions for himself and knew the long-range weather forecast."
