Keighley people will sing for their supper - and breakfast, lunch and dinner - during this year's Keighley Festival.

They will be taking part in the festival's attempt to get in the Guinness Book of Records for non-stop karaoke singing.

Organisers want as many people as possible to take part in the 100-hour marathon starting on June 18 at 2pm.

Local businesses, pubs, clubs and other groups are being urged to book an hour during the marathon for their workers, customers or members.

Festival chairman Peter Halliwell says the event will support Keighley's team in the Cycling for Life charity cycle marathon.

Three bus drivers from Keighley & District Travel are cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End this September.

Mr Halliwell says: "Singularly or in groups, fancy dress or not, you are all welcome to come along and help us get Keighley on the world map."

Eclipse Entertainments is hosting the karaoke singing at Pilky's sports club and bar on Heber Street.

Anyone wanting to take part should call 07986 900442.
