A gang robbed a teenager at knifepoint this week as he walked down a secluded footpath with his girlfriend.

The five-strong gang escaped with £70 after ambushing the couple in Postman's Walk, which runs alongside Keighley Sorting Office, off Oakworth Road.

One robber threatened the 18-year-old man with a silver flick-knife and shouted "Give me everything you've got". Another attacker punched the man in the face before the gang ran off towards St Andrew's Primary School, in the West Lane area.

The gang's members were all Asian in appearance and wore sportswear.

The knifeman is described as 17, 5ft 8in tall, skinny, with a big nose, slight stubble on his chin and black hair, cut short and brushed back. He wore a red shell-suit top, dark blue tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Another attacker was aged 17-18, 5ft 6in, of medium build, with short black hair, and wearing blue jeans, white trainers and a white Nike sweatshirt, with a bright green tick on the front. One of the other three youths wore Nike Cortez trainers with an orange tick.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or can recognise the attackers should phone PC David Earl on 01535 617083.
