After two poor results Oakworth Under-9s A put in a great performance to beat Gomersal 3-0. They played together as a team and took control of the game from the start with two first half goals. Scorers were James Emmett and Marshall Pedder (2) with the whole team sharing the man of the match award.

Oakworth Under-9s B also secured a 3-0 win at Gommersal with goals from Ben Williams and Joe Healy before the break. A second half strike by Jason Roberts made certain of victory. Jake Sunderland was man of the match.

Oakworth Under-10s B produced a great team performance as they cruised to a 5-0 victory over Eldwick. Oaks took control from the start, but only had a 1-0 lead at the break but added four in the second half. Scorers were Thomas Kerr (2), James Smith, Greig Hudson and Chris Lynch. Nick Foster was man of the match, and the previous week's man of the match was Ryan Shrimpton.

Silsden Under-7s beat Wyke 1-0 at home in a match where both defences were on top. Glen Watt scored his customary goal in the first half and despite Wyke's best efforts Silsden kept a clean sheet with Josh Brown once again earning the man of the match award.

Sutton Rascals Under-10s A came up against a strong Wilsden team and slipped to a 5-2 defeat. However there were good performances from man of the match Daniel Bowditch and scorers Tom Meakin and James MacDonald.

Sutton Rascals Under-10s B secured a 1-1 draw with Wilsden B with excellent defending from Conrad Waggett and Jacob Butler. Man of the match was John Spence for his strong performance in midfield. Goal scorer was Jake Hargreaves, who has now scored in the last four matches.

Sutton Rascals Under-9s were away to, produced an impressive all round performance to beat second placed Myrtle Park 2-1. They were 1-0 up at the break with a goal from Luke Jackson. The second half saw more brilliant football from the Rascals and they were rewarded with a goal from Luke Fleetwood. Myrtle Park scored a goal in the dying seconds of the match. Joshua Fleetwood was man of the match.

Long Lee Under-11s displayed superb skills as they cruised to a 7-0 victory over Undercliffe. James Francis showed outstanding finishing to score a hat-trick. Matthew Kershaw scored twice in the second half with Jack Pearson and Josh Huntley also scoring in the dying seconds. The match point was shared by Max Kidd, James Francis and Josh Huntley.

Oakbank Under-10s B were in control from the kick off against Cross Roads and put in a fine performance to record a 4-0 victory. Man of the match Joe Gaughan scored a hat-trick with Nathan Lomax adding the other.

Once again Oakbank Under-7s turned over good opposition as they beat Shipley Under-7s 3-0. The in-form James Lee scored all the goals and was well assisted by the non-stop work rate of man of the match Luke Watson-Dowler.

Crossflatts Under-11s beat Silsden C 10-1 thanks to some good attacking football. Silsden refused to give up an deserved their goal which came from some neat passing. Scorers for Crossflatts were Max Whitley (4), Michael Pearson (4), Daniel Howard and Bill Bailey. Michael Pearson was man of the match.

Silsden Juniors Under-8s A beat Westwood A 10-0 with goals from Christopher Wademan (5), Ben Geary (3), Jake Muir and Danielle Whitham. The man of the match award was shared by the whole team.

Picture shows: Youngsters from across Keighley and Bradford met in a police-organised soccer tournament at Marley stadium on Monday.

Eight teams competed in the event, staged by Keighley-based PC Glyn Butterworth and fellow officers Lee Holmes and Billy Jeavons from the Bradford North police division.

The tournament was won by Manningham 'A', with Ravenscliffe 'A' runner up. They received trophies and prizes donated by Keighley Police. All those taking part were aged 13 and under.
