Nicky Law is well aware of the gulf between Bradford City and Coventry City as he makes last-minute preparations for the visit to Highfield Road tomorrow.

City are ready to catapult youngsters like the fast-emerging Simon Francis and Danny Forrest into the fray while Coventry are bringing in quality loan players of the calibre of Matt Jansen and former Spanish international Vicente Egonga.

"If you look at Coventry this year, they have brought in Jansen and before that Craig Hignett. They also have Partridge from Liverpool. We are still trying to get by with what we have got.

"Gary McAllister is still the big one for them and we have got to be aware of him. But we didn't deserve to get beaten last Saturday and we are still quite confident.

"It will be a big, big test for us tomorrow but if you approach it the right way, like we always do, I am sure we will be ok."

City are hoping local-born teenager Lewis Emanuel will have recovered from a pulled hamstring in time to make the line-up.

"Emanuel is back training - we will just have to see how fit he is," said Law.

"Paul Reid is getting back from his dislocated toe and things are starting to look a little brighter for us.

"I think that Simon Francis did well last week, as did Danny Forrest when he came on."

With Robert Molenaar out for several weeks with a calf injury and David Wetherall and Andy Myers still not ready for first-team action, City need to pitch in the youngsters. "You are a bit reluctant to give these lads a try when things are not right, but they go in and show great enthusiasm and great energy - and no fear.

"I will certainly look to get Simon Francis involved and probably Danny Forrest as well.

"We are going in the right direction but we are not there yet. Looking at the games that are left, 47 or 48 points might do it. In that case we need three or four wins.

"I will sleep easier when I know we have at least two of them. We have 15 games left and have got plenty of time."

City have been training at Barnsley Football Club's indoor centre this week.
