Councillors meeting at Bradford yesterday threw out a petition which opposed the laying of cattle-grids on Baildon Moor. The petition was claimed to have been signed by 512 residents, but Councillor Mrs Muriel Wood, chairman of West Yorkshire County Council's Bradford Area sub-committee, told the meeting she had found only four names from the Baildon area on the petition.

Home Office approval of plans for a new £14,000 traffic division headquarters for Bradford City Police was reported to Bradford Watch Committee yesterday. The building will be at the junction of Caledonia Street and Bolling Road, near Wakefield Road.
