Schools table tennis: Two teams from Bradford have won through to the English Schools' national table tennis finals.
The under-19 boys from Bradford Grammar School and the under-16 girls' from The Girls' Grammar School, Bradford have both qualified.
The under-19 boys' had the toughest draw in their regional finals at Grantham Table Tennis Centre, facing Peniel Academy of Essex - overall winners for the past seven years - in their first match.
However, Stephen Denny and Andrew Woodhead gave BGS a great start by both winning, and Alex Runham's defeat was then cancelled out by David White's victory.
Things only got worse for Peniel as all four Bradford boys won to make the final score an amazing 7-1.
Surprisingly, this was the easiest match for the boys as Holy Cross (Greater Manchester) only went down 6-2.
The clincher came against Valley (Notts).
Now BGS are favourites for this age group and it would be fitting if they triumph as White and Runham are in their final year at the school.
The Girls' Grammar School, Bradford's under-16 girls' team lifted their regional title at Blackburn Leisure Centre to qualify for their national finals at Hinckley on Saturday, March 15.
