A drug addict from Baildon has been jailed for 45 months after he threatened to stab a man in the face with a needle.

Bradford Crown Court heard how Bobby Baker and Anne Bedford took Jonathan Ibbotson to a cash point and told him to withdraw money.

When Mr Ibbotson refused, Baker pulled a syringe from his pocket and threatened to stab him with it and give him hepatitis.

Earlier that night, Mr Ibbotson met Bedford, who offered him sex for £20 at her flat

Later, after a heated row over an extra £10 for more sex, Bedford and Baker dragged Mr Ibbotson to the cash point machine and demanded the cash.

Baker, 23, of The Straights, Baildon, and Bedford, 28, of Roundhill Place, Bradford, both pleaded guilty to robbery after they were found later that night with the cash and a syringe.

Bedford also pleaded guilty to a charge of theft after she stole £55 from a man near the Bradford Job Centre in a separate incident last April.

She was jailed for a total of 38 months.
