Chris Caisley believes the Academy set-up is more important than ever before.

The Bulls chairman praised the progress of young stars Jamie Langley and Stuart Reardon, who both performed well in Sunday's 40-point win over Halifax, and said the future of the club was dependent

on the promotion of home-grown talent.

"It is very rare I agree with Ian Millward, but when he said this week that the overseas quota was being phased out too quickly, I think he was right," said Caisley.

"But that is what we have to live with and it makes the Academy set-up all the more important.

"We have already had some players coming through, such as Jamie Langley and Stuart Reardon, and I know that the others will do well when they get their chance.

"The side are unbeaten this year and are playing some very entertaining rugby."

He added that the injury crisis that has struck the club this season will mean more opportunities for the youngsters in the squad, who continue to impress.

"There is another generation of young players looking to make it to the first team at this club," added Caisley.

"Off the field we have some big plans in place, and on the pitch the youngsters are being given more and more chances to show what they can do by the injuries.

"It is only a matter of time before players such as Chris Bridge come through and show what they can do while younger players such as Karl Pryce will make their impression over the coming years."

Caisley has been delighted with the size of the crowds returning to Odsal this season.

After another bumper turn-out against Halifax on Sunday (15,557), Caisley said: "To think that by the end of next week's game against Warrington we would have had more than 50,000 people at Odsal is testiment to the importance of this stadium for the people of Bradford."
