Retired people who are members of a successful Bradford walking club have said a £1,000 thank you to the Air Ambulance service for coming to their rescue.
Representative of the Senior Wayfarers handed over a cheque at the service's headquarters at Leeds-Bradford Airport.
Sam Morris, chairman of Senior Wayfarers, said: "We have had to call out the air ambulance three times when our members have been taken ill during walks. They do a splendid job." Anyone interested in joining the Senior Wayfarers, who run a regular programme of walks to suit different levels of fitness and ability, can contact Mr Morris on Bradford (01274) 641644.
