Robert Wolleaston tonight has a second chance to impress City boss Nicky Law and earn himself a possible deal.

City's reserves host Newcastle (7.00), two days after a goalless draw with West Brom.

And Chelsea midfielder Wolleaston will be playing again as he hopes to catch Law's eye.

The 23-year-old is set to be released at the end of the season after five years at Stamford Bridge. He made only one senior appearance and has been farmed out on loan spells with Bristol Rovers, Portsmouth and Northampton.

Law said: "We'll have another look at Robert Wolleaston. I believe Chelsea are letting him go at the end of the year and this is a chance for him to show what he can do."

Wolleaston looked quite tidy against West Brom, although he may have to do more to convince Law he is worth adding to his new-look squad for next term.

Several of the City side will be playing their second game in 48 hours, including goalkeeper Stefan Magnusson, Michael Standing, Simon Francis, Ben Muirhead and Frazer McHugh.

But Robert Molenaar, who played his first game for two months after a calf injury, is rested.

City also include another trialist, defender Andrew Nicholas from Liverpool.

Law added: "With us not playing this weekend, I wanted to use the nucleus of the same squad."
