THREE HORSES ran out 7-2 winners over Silsden Athletic to make progress in the Jeff Hall Memorial Trophy.

Athletic are suffering a run of poor form when they least want it, and Neil Liddle's two goals were not enough as Horses cruised into the semi-finals.

Bocking also made it into the last four with a 7-3 victory over Keighley United, but the sccorline does not tell the full story. Although Bocking were on fine form United contributed to their own downfall in a game which should have been closer than the score suggests.

Bocking scorers were David Nelson (2), David Bainbridge (2), Chris Hutton, Simon Wadington, Darren Midgley.

Bingley entertained Shoulder of Mutton and wre 2-0 up after 20 minutes. However, Shoulder pulled one back before the break.

In the second period both teams found the net once. Shoudlder's scorers were Graham Whittaker, from the penalty spot, and Keith Spence.

Two goals from Johnny Lawrence ensured it would be New Vareity Club and not Old Sun/Oaklee who go into the had for the semi-final draw. The Vaierty club always had the edge in a close game.

In the league Wilsden Villagers entertained Long Lee Victoria and were always second best. They conceded four goals, but were unable to find the net.

After having won their last five games Fleece faced a trip to take on Cavendish Hotel. They were in command for the first 45 minutes and held a 4-0 lead at the break.

Cavendish came more into the game in the second period as they adopted a long ball game which caught the Fleece defence napping. After conceding one goal Fleece did not allow another mistake and kept up the pressure at the other end.

Fleece centre forward David Robinson scored a hat-trick and other goals came from Danny smith and Anthony Scott.
