People living along Stirling Crescent in the Holme Wood estate, Bradford, say they are living alongside what is becoming a virtual open tip. Along one side of Stirling Crescent there are old people's bungalows and blocks of flats while on the other side is a depression, known locally as the valley. The valley has become a target for people tipping their rubbish. In it is paper, plastic, cloth, wood, old mattresses, bed-heads and furniture.

The minimum qualifying height for women is 5ft. 8in. and for men 6ft. - in stockinged feet. The membership fee is 7s. 6d. a year. A newsletter will appear three times a year, giving news of any social events that may be arranged and information about supplies of extra-long fittings in clothing and footwear.
