A Cross Hills girl is climbing the ladder to stardom after landing a job as a Pontin's Bluecoat.
Rachael Mount hopes to follow in the footsteps of former Bluecoats such as Brian Conley, Eastenders' Shane Ritchie and Steps singer Lisa.
Membership of the renowned holiday-camp team is seen as an ideal training ground for a career in the entertainment business. Rachael, 20, of Burnroyd Avenue, will spend the summer at Pontin's Brean Sands Holiday Centre in Somerset.
She was one of 50 young people chosen from hundreds of applicants this January for training in on- and off-stage skills at the Bluecoats Academy.
Rachael, a former South Craven School student, won her first recording contract at the age of 16.
Colne-based company Rockenbay signed her up after she reached the last 20 in a competition for a boy/girl band. Rachael was given the chance to record an album as well as receive training in stage presentation, singing and business techniques.
