Bracken Ghyll - The Easter Monday Social Competition was well supported, with 42 entrants playing a modified Texas Scramble in mainly fine dry weather. The team of Julie Cook, John Williams and Joe Parry emerged victorious, finishing with a total of 53 for the 18 holes. Pauline Greenfield, Nick Pike and Dave Gilbert were second with 55 after a countback from Rose Sutcliffe, Dougie Thompson & Richard Cook.

The first round of the Juniors Last Detail competition was won by Jack Lampkin with 41 Stableford points, from Rob Tankard with 39 after a countback from Ben Lampkin.

Keighley - The Mixed Easter Shoot was well supported as teams of four battled it out for baskets of wine and chocolate golden bunnies. The winners with a score of 88 points were Stuart Brook, Bill Holder, Gary Searby and Dorothy Pickard. Second, on the same score, were Jim Turner, Mike Smith, Adele Mitchell and Jill Turner. Third with 84 points were David Smith, Steve Broadbent, John Bibby and Pauline Brook. Joan Gibson also had cause to celebrate with a hole in one on the 14th.

On Sunday 38 members of the 8-15 section played in the Celebration Cup Greensomes: 1 Malcolm Mawson and Peter Osborn 66, 2 Brian Appleyard and Steve Smith 69. Nearest the pin on the par 3 eighth hole was Steve Ding.

The Juniors made a cracking start to the season, beating West Bradford 6-0 at home in this 1st Division match.

The Ladies played the Challenge qualifying round with the AEG qualifying round on Tuesday: 1 Pauline Brook 91-15-76, 2 Lesley Logan 94-17-77. Pauline Brook goes forward to represent Keighley in the area final of the AEG competition.
