Oakbank School has claimed three Bradford District soccer titles.

The school's Under 14s, Under 13s and Under 12s teams took top honours in the tournament held at Bradford City's Valley parade ground last weekend.

The Under 14s beat Beckfoot 4-1 after fighting their way back from 1-0 down after Beckfoot scored an early goal. Oaks were 2-1 up by half time and dominated the second period. Scorers were Josh Beattie (2), Luke Scott and Ross Croad.

Oakbank Under 13s beat Beckfoot 4-3 in a dramatic finish. They were 2-0 down before Casey Dickson put them on the scoresheet with a penalty after the break. Substitute Peri Isa equalised from a tight angle.

Beckfoot took the lead again, leaving the Oaks 3-2 down with 10 minutes to go. Andy Fox equalised with two minutes left. As the clock ticked down Fox took the ball down the left and unleashed a ferocious shot which gave Oakbank victory on the final whistle.

The Under 12s played out a 5-5 draw with Underbank, and both schools will get their names on the trophy. Leon Smith scored a hat-trick for Oakbank, with other goals from Sam Rooke and Tom Birdsall.
