The Bulls were forced to endure their second nail-biter in six days, but once again came out victorious.

After picking up a Challenge Cup trophy last weekend, the Bulls faced a stiff test when they headed to Wigan's JJB Stadium in the hunt for vital Super League points.

Battling defence and the usual second-half revival helped Bradford scrape to a 14-8 win courtesy of two tries by Leon Pryce and one from Lesley Vainikolo.

"I don't think we should just focus on me and my try-scoring," said Pryce, who also had a hand in setting up the Volcano's score. "It was a great team performance and we came back well after a poor first-half.

"After what we went through last weekend it's not surprising that we had such a tough time here."

The victory sees Bradford remain second in the Super League, as Leeds also won a close game - beating Wakefield 13-12 at Headingley - and coach Brian Noble was upbeat in the post-match press conference.

"There were a lot of tired legs out there in the first half, but we muscled up and came up with another fantastic performance."
