Stuart Fielden is hoping to be back for the Bulls in three weeks - if selected.

The Great Britain prop, out with a knee injury since Good Friday, has targeted the clash with Warrington on June 15 for his return.

But Fielden, who is back in serious training, admits that he can't expect to walk back into the side.

"The lads have been playing pretty well so I can't take anything for granted," said Fielden, who strained his knee in a collision with Hull's Jason Smith just eight days before the Challenge Cup final. "I can't just expect to walk back into the side, but if selected I am trying to be back for the Warrington game.

"The lads have been on top form recently and playing really well. Maybe I don't deserve my place back because they haven't lost without me in the side!"

With the 23-year-old out, Joe Vagana and Paul Anderson have been excelling at prop forward with Danny Gartner also doing well after stepping up from the second row as cover.

Youngster Rob Parker has played in the front row, with Richard Moore also making some useful contributions which could leave coach Brian Noble with some tricky decisions to make when Fielden returns.

The former Illingworth player wore a brace for four weeks after the incident but was relieved to avoid surgery. It was thought at first he may have snapped his posterior cruciate ligaments.

And pleasingly for Noble that means he should have his star prop back in the side for the crunch games against Wigan and St Helens at the end of June.

Leon Pryce, suspended for the past two weeks, will return this weekend.
