YOUNG table tennis players took part in an inter-school tournament at Oakbank School recently -- displaying impressive sporting skills.

The competition was organised as part of the Bradford Table Tennis Development Scheme's programme to introduce young children to the sport.

Schools from across the district took part with the winners coming from Worth Valley Warriors, Oaklee Warriors and the Oakworth Conkers team.

The development scheme's young 'super star' Mary Fuller has also continued her impressive season by winning her first national title, picking up the National Under-12s title although she is still at Stanbury primary school.

Coach Hans Soova said: "Mary deserves her success because of her hard work and dedication. She has also been selected to take part in the National Under-13s training camp.

"The schools competition was also a big success with young players enjoying the sport and working very hard to develop their skills.
