SOCCER players from Greenhead school have won the North Bradford Schools Football League -- which includes teams from the Keighley & Craven District.
The Year 9 team went through the season suffering only one defeat.
The district event was eventually decided in a play-off between Greenhead and Beckfoot schools which the keighley school won 5-4 after extra-time.
Greenhead then went into a three team play-off to decide the champions of Bradford and they were eventually beaten into second place by a team from hanson School which included sveral players who have been signed by professional clubs.
"All the squad has represented the school with an enormous amount of credit this year," said team manager Richard Thompson.
He added: None of the squad play 11-a-side football outside school, but all of them would like to get involved with local club teams given the chance. If any clubs are looking to recruit for next season they can contact me at the school."
