Dean Windass scored the first goal of his second coming as City drew 2-2 with Barnsley.

Playing their second private friendly in three days, the Bantams came from a goal down at Oakwell, with Windass joined on the scoresheet by fellow new arrival Luke Cornwall.

Boss Nicky Law was pleased with the performance in City's final tune-up ahead of their Scottish tour.

They leave tomorrow for games against Partick Thistle on Saturday and Raith next Tuesday.

Law did not single out any individual but said: "It was another good work-out for the lads.

"As with Monday's game at Bolton, there were a lot of positives and it also gave us the opportunity to identify any problems and put them right in time for the first game of the season against Norwich on August 9."

Kevin Sanasy scored twice as a youthful City XI won 3-0 at Eccleshill.

Liam Flynn netted the opening goal in a match livened up by the appearance of a streaker in the half-time interval!

Acting youth team manager Bobby Davison said: "Eccleshill provided us with a good game and it was played in a very good spirit."

Eighteen-year-old centre half Peter Folkes, on trial after being released by Bristol City, played at Plumpton Park and will get another game at Chesterfield tomorrow.
