THE Yorkshire County Parks Association will be playing this weekend's game in the British Parks Veterans' Competition at Farsley on Sunday.

They will play Derbyshire in a match that starts at 2 pm.

There will be an Under-16 curtain raiser between junior ladies and junior men which starts at 11.45 am.

Among games with local involvement are those between Chris Driver and Laura Dickinson and Jade Robinson and Simon Wood.

The Veterans' Merits held on July 11 at Pudsey Ltd resulted in a win for B Dowling over A Roundhill 21-15.

K Bywell and D Shaw were the losing semi-finalists.

The Individual Merits held at Yeadon's Rufford Park club on Sunday were won by Roman Hraber who defeated N Breadby 21-11 in the final.

The losing semi-finalists were J Edmondson and P Hiller.

This was the third successive title for Hraber.

It brought his total of wins to six to surpass the previous best of five held by J Ross.
