WINS for Kirkstall and Rawdon have left things very much as they were at the top of Division B of the Airedale and Wharfedale League.

Kirkstall lead the way with 57 points with Rawdon just two points adrift and Burley in third place with 48 points.

Thackley and Bardsey are propping up the table with 15 points each. Rawdon made 234-7 against Thackley with an excellent 75 from Duncan Stow.

Thackley were soon reduced to 46-5 as Kenrick Marshall (5-27) and Dennis Rock (2-41) got into the swing of things. Thackley were finally dismissed for 115.

Kirkstall dismissed Harden for 227 and then knocked off the runs with five balls to spare. Neil Walmsley (59) and A Siddall (47) led the run chase and Jonathan Knibbs completed the victory with an unbeaten 53.

Ilkley were dismissed for 134 as Bardsey's D Hartley took 4-41 and M Anwar 4-33. Only opener Chris Quaife with 41 and Richard Simpson with 30 showed any resistance. Bardsey lost five wickets in gaining victory as Richard Simpson bowled well taking 3-35 off 17 overs.

Tong Park took five points from a drawn game with Silsden setting a target of 261-4 as they warmed up for their Waddilove Cup semi-final. Their overseas player Chandar Sheikar made a magnificent 102 and was well supported by Steve Young with 58 and Nick Murden with 37.

Silsden then replied with 141-8 struggling against the bowling of the veteran Mick Scott (3-41) and Ian Jackson (3-39).

Pool bagged all six points from their clash with Knaresborough. Batting first Knaresborough were dismissed for 101 by some fine bowling from Oliver Wilhelm (3-29) and Chris Spivey (3-22).

Pool then knocked off the runs for the loss of two wickets with opener David Singleton cracking 54 and skipper Phil Dibb an unbeaten 31.

In Division C Skipton have moved out on top after their emphatic win over Ben Rhydding. They now hold a six point lead over Colton and Horsforth.

Robert Dilger continued his superb form with an innings of 122 which was just shaded by opener K Owens who made 155. Skipton totalled 302-4 and Pool fell for 179 in reply as C Hope took 3-25.

Ben Rhydding's overseas player V Nandan held the innings together opening with 89. Illingworth inflicted defeat on Horsforth dismissing them for 120 in reply to their 198 all out. Illingworth were struggling a little at 77-6 but then number seven batsman R Smith hit an unbeaten 76.

D Scott was the scourge of the Horsforth batsmen with his 5-25 return off 9.3 overs.

Pool Mills struggled to match the massive Woodhouse score of 260-7 of which S Golson hit 69, J Walwyn 55 and R Pickles 43. Patrick Parker tried hard to stem the tide with 3-74 off 15 overs. Mills replied with 186 Tony Smith making 45.

Olicanians gained a four wickets win over Colton with Australian Ross Veitch hitting a half-century after taking 5-36.
