Yeadon suffered on Saturday at the hands of Undercliffe's Jaffer Nazir who bagged all ten wickets in a superb performance as Yeadon were put out for 141.

This was in reply to Undercliffe's 201-7 of which Chris Taylor made 24.

Nazir bagged all ten wickets at a cost of 65 runs and joined a select band of players to grab all ten in the Bradford League.

He was the 29th player to achieve the feat in the league's 100 year history.

Undefcliffe had started steadily through Taylor and Mark Gill (9) but then two wickets fell with the score on 39.

This brought Toby Drummond to the crease and he hammered a fine 59 as the Yeadon bowlers toiled in the sun.

Useful contributions from Richard Elphee and Martin Kellaway with 26 apiece assisted Undercliffe's cause.

Skipper Soames bagged three wickets at a cost of 73 off his 18 over stint while Jon Roper had another long spell with 2-73 off 22 overs.

Yeadon lost James Todd for one with just six runs on the board but then Gulsharez Ahmed put up some resistance with 22.

Nazir however kept pinging them down and after Soames had been dismissed for 24 it became a procession as Nazir bowled seven of his victims, had two lbw and had the other one caught.

Yeadon were dismissed for 141 which did their survival hopes no good at all, especially as Mark Nicklin's Idle picked up their second win of the season against Mirfield.

Former Guiseley all-rounder Chris Thompson (18), the newly elected Yorkshire Senior Schools Captain, picked up 2-13 off his seven overs in this win for Idle.

On Saturday Yeadon entertain Baildon and will come face to face with their former skipper Craig Thornton.

On Saturday Yeadon Seconds continued to apply pressure on league leaders Undercliffe notching their 13th win of the season.

Brighouse turned up at 1.30pm with just three players and the start was delayed. When they did go out they were dismissed for 65 with Richard Machell bagging four wickets.

Definitely not the type of cricket one waits all week for and poor preparation for Yeadon's cup semi-final the following day.
