Two girls from South Craven School, Cross Hills, captured the headlines during a stay in Holland.
Beth Gallagher and Miranda Pighills, both 17, spent a week in Dronten as part of an exchange programme with two Dutch students.
As well as making the news at the Flevopost newspaper, the pair, who were staying with Dutch families, helped to put the newspaper together during their work experience.
Utley girl Beth spent the week working on stories for the newspaper. Included in her work were two diary pieces and a story looking at the difference between English and Dutch teenagers.
Beth, who spent one week on work experience at the Keighley News two years ago, said she enjoyed working on the twice-weekly free paper.
She said: "I did all the work in English, because everyone is so fluent in English. It is quite incredible. They then translated all the work into Dutch. It was much more laid back than over here. They even had a dartboard in the office."
Miranda, from Sutton, worked with the advertisement department. She said her work included travelling around to see if the adverts needed changing and working with NewsTV, which is a teletext service.
The pair were also shown around the various company offices, which included the printing and radio buildings.
