Joanna Kaye has been reunited with her blind cat Sophie after she went missing for 23 days.
Sophie was found starving, dehydrated, infested with fleas and ticks, her eyes swollen and coat matted near the Leeds-Liverpool Canal at Silsden.
The pair are pictured after their happy reunion.
Her survival has been lauded as miraculous by Janis Anderton, of Keighley Cats Protection League, who named her Good Fortune when she took her in.
"I'm amazed she survived she was in such a state. But a vet gave her steroids and fluids and with tender loving care she has survived," she said.
But Mrs Kaye, of Weatherhead Place, Silsden, isn't surprised Sophie has pulled through.
"She's a lucky cat. She's already had more than her nine lives," she said.
"We once lost her in a boiler and she became covered in oil. She was found beneath floorboards and once she was lost in the roof space of a renovated house for five days. We found her peeping out of a pipe in the wall. She's a real character."
Keighley Cats Protection League is keen to find owners for other cats. Anyone interested should telephone Mrs Anderton on (01535) 657725.
