THEY are all gearing up for a great time at the annual Ilkley Open Tennis Tournament which commences on Monday. Spectators will enjoy free entry to see some top class tennis at the Stourton Road club.
Max Greaves, 7, of Ilkley, and Thomas Hewitt,5, of Otley, won prizes in the Skipton Building Society pre-tournament competition aimed at local primary schools. Max will get a course of tennis coaching lessons at the Ilkley club while Thomas won vouchers for some high street shopping.
The Skipton Building Society, along with OHS of Bradford, are sponsoring the tournament. To further promote the tournament customers at the Ilkley branch of the Skipton BS were invited to partake of strawberries and cream by manager Andy Gudgeon and his staff. (pictured)
