A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl from Skyreholme scaled the heights of Ben Nevis to raise money to help her primary school.
Lois Nelson, of Ridge End Cottage, is a pupil at Burnsall School, which is in the midst of raising £20,000 towards the cost of its new classroom extension.
Lois, who is a keen walker, raised £1,030 when she completed the walk earlier this year.
She trained with her dad, Phil, and followed the tourist track, which is both the easiest and safest route and is nine miles long with an ascent of 1,300 metres.
Lois is just one of many pupils who have been willing to put in extra effort to the benefit of the school community.
Thanks have been expressed to all those people who sponsored Lois.
