A Bradford company helped to bring a little seasonal cheer to the Big Brother housemates.

Hallmark Cards provided Christmas cards and crackers for the party to mark the end of 64 days' captivity for the housemates.

The company, based in Haworth Road, Heaton, was contacted by the producers to provide materials for the celebrations to mark the end of the Channel Four series.

Hallmark sent down boxes of goodies including cards written by the housemates' families.

The five remaining contestants - eventual winner Cameron, John, Scott, Steph and Ray - spent their last night in the house on Thursday having the party.

The festivities went ahead despite their failure to complete the task they were supposed to win to earn the treat.

And after their roast turkey dinner, the gang pulled the Hallmark crackers and donned the paper hats that had been shipped down from Bradford.

Today, Scotsman Cameron Stout was enjoying his first day out of the Big Brother Four house after winning the £70,000 first prize.

Last night he got 57.5 per cent of the votes to beat fellow contestant Ray Shah - the volatile rebel of the house.

Cameron, a 32-year-old fish trader from Orkney, was momentarily lost for words.

On leaving the Big Brother house after 64 days, Cameron appeared delighted at support from the crowd and wept as he was reunited with family members.

Ray won 1,428,231 votes (42.5 per cent) but was beaten by Cameron with 928,570 votes (57.5 per cent).

In total, 4,339,805 voted in this year's Big Brother final taking the total number of votes cast for the whole series to 11,993,636.

Hallmark co-ordinator Emma Halfpenny - who admitted having no desire to enter the house next time around - said the firm had been delighted to help-out.

"I was absolutely thrilled when I saw our cards and crackers on the programme," she said. "It has generated a lot of positive momentum around the place."

The programme's producers were so pleased with Hallmark's contribution they contacted the company again yesterday to ask it to supply 500 goody bags for the end of series party on Monday.
