Great Britain coach David Waite has chosen six Bradford Bulls in his 22-man squad for the Ashes tests against Australia.

Man of Steel Jamie Peacock is joined by fellow forwards Stuart Fielden, Paul Anderson, Mike Forshaw and Lee Gilmour.

Paul Deacon is the only Bulls back named, although Gilmour is probably seen as a utility, having played on the wing in the final two tests against the Kiwis last year.

Utility back Leon Pryce was not considered for selection as yesterday's court appearance to face assault charges meant it was not certain he would be able to travel to the team's training camp in Spain.

Waite hardly clarified the matter, though, when he said: "We have been aware of that situation for a number of months. I made a statement three years ago when we were joined in Florida by people who played in the Grand Final that we wouldn't travel without people. If they can't travel with the team then we need to make sure when we take that squad away that they shouldn't be in the team if they can't get there."

However, Waite did indicate that he would like to select Pryce, if able.

"We are fortunate that if things work out in a positive sense we have options available to us," said Waite.

The four new caps in the squad are Wigan wing Brian Carney, Wakefield centre Gareth Ellis, Castleford back-rower Ryan Hudson and Warrington forward Paul Wood.

The full squad: Paul Anderson, Brian Carney, Gary Connolly, Paul Deacon, Gareth Ellis, Andrew Farrell, Stuart Fielden, Mike Forshaw, Lee Gilmour, David Hodgson, Richard Horne, Ryan Hudson, Sean Long, Barrie McDermott, Adrian Morley, Terry Newton, Jamie Peacock, Kris Radlinski, Paul Sculthorpe, Keith Senior, Kevin Sinfield, Paul Wood.
