Eoin Jess is ready to stick the knife into his old club by breaking his goal duck tomorrow.

Jess returns to City with Nottingham Forest, who will be aiming to become the sixth away side to win at the Bradford & Bingley Stadium this season.

The Bantams have sunk to second from bottom and must stop the rot after seven games without a win.

But Jess, who moved to the City Ground 14 months ago, wants to dish out more pain on his former pals - and silence the banter he has been getting from the other Forest players.

He said: "They've been dishing out the stick because I haven't scored yet this season. A few of the defenders are popping up with goals now which hasn't helped me so I need to get off the mark.

"The manager wants us to play free-flowing football and we are very attack minded whether we are at home or away.

"I've been trying to create opportunities for the team but I'm under pressure myself to score. Getting one against Bradford would be a good place to start."

The Scot was top scorer with 14 during City's first year back in Division One. He joined Forest on a free transfer on the eve of last season but it has been all change at Valley Parade since.

Jess added: "There are a lot of new faces I probably won't even know. Tom Kearney was just coming through when I was there and I'm glad to see him back again after his injury and obviously there's Wayne Jacobs, David Wetherall and Deano (Dean Windass).

"It's always good to see old team-mates again and catch up with people around the club. But they are going through a difficult time.

"I look for the results of all my previous clubs and it's not nice to see Bradford at the wrong end of the table. Hopefully they can pull out of it soon, although not tomorrow obviously.

"But I really hope to be playing against them. I missed out last time when I came on as sub so hopefully I'll be on from the start."

Forest smashed six past Wimbledon last week but have had an inconsistent run, slipping up against the likes of Crewe and Stoke.

"We have a habit of dropping points against teams in the lower half of the league," Jess admitted. "It's disappointing because the performances have generally been very good.

"But we got a good result against Wimbledon and then the draw at West Ham so we'll take a lot of confidence into the Bradford game."

City go into the game on a wretched run. But that is no different to last season when they ended a seven-match losing streak with a 1-0 win courtesy of Robert Molenaar's header.

Jess said: "It's not a good omen, is it? But we're confident in the way that we have been playing and I think we can get a good result.

"I don't mind who scores our goals but it would be nice to get off the mark. If only to make the other lads shut up."
