THE skies were filled with bright bubbles of colour when Lothersdale Under-Fives Playgroup released 200 balloons into the air recently.The event had been managed by the Skipton-based Pumpkin Card Company and was watched by the under-fives and children from the school. Money raised from the race will be used to buy new toys and equipment for the playgroup and Mums' and Toddlers' group. Lothersdale Under-Fives Playgroup meets on a Tuesday afternoon from 12pm to 3pm and is open to children from two-and-a-half years to five. The winners of the balloon race will be announced and contacted at the beginning of December.
