The once stately 25-acre Undercliffe Cemetery, more recently a target for vandals, has been getting a facelift this weekend from offenders and local organisations. Since the Bradford Cemetery Co. Ltd went into liquidation in 1976, the site has been left to grow wild. Some graves have been tended by families, but little else has been done with leaves from three autumns almost covering many gravestones, and vandals adding to the decay.

Typical Swiss recipes for pastries and cakes, some incorporating luxuries like fresh cream, eight or ten eggs and, in one case,18 egg yolks, were demonstrated at the Bradford School of Food Technology last night by Herr Josef Mattle, demonstrator at the Richemont School, Lucerne. His visit to Bradford was part of a tour, the first of its kind, arranged by the National Federation of Bakery Students Socieities. Bradford was included because the school is one of the most up-to-date in the West Riding.
