Speaking at the annual dinner of Bradford Grammar School Old Boys' Association, Headmaster Mr D. A. G. Smith said that by comparison with last year's figures in the unofficial league table of scholarships and places gained at Oxford and Cambridge, the school had risen from eighth place to top of the league.

Bradford depot of the Car Collection Company has been awarded the safe driving shield competed for within the company half-yearly, and Mr. R. S. Hunter, managing director, travelled from London to present the shield at the depot's annual dinner and dance held in Bettys Cafe, Bradford, last night. The depot had no accidents recorded during the past six months.
