Long Lee Under-12s A suffered New Year blues as they slipped to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of a strong Silsden A side. The visitors were first to hit home and were 2-0 up at the break as the Long Lee side struggled to get into gear. The home side picked up the pace after half time with James Francis smashing home, closely followed by Craig Donegan who pounced on a loose ball to make it 2-2.

Both teams worked hard in the closing stages with Sammy bailey unlucky when his shot hit the crossbar. James Francis and Craig Donegan shared the match point but the day belonged to Silsden as Joe Rhydding unleashed tow outstanding finishes to make it 4-2.

Silsden Under-12s B produced an outstanding performance against Wilsden with goals from man of the match Tom Wilson. His second found the back of the net from the half way line and Sam Stansfield made it 3-0 at the break. Scott Robinson stopped Wilsden finding the net until well into the second half when they scored twice. Sam Wood fought back with a final goal to make it 4-2 to the home team.

Silsden Under-12s a also won 4-2 against Long Lee with goals from Joe Ridding (2), Andy Kay and Chris Williams. Joe Ridding and Josh Banks shared the man of the match award.

Oakworth Under-10s B beat Burley 4-1 to end their four match unbeaten run. Burley scored first before Danny Kernan put Oaks level and a Jake Sunderland goal put them ahead. Kernan added his second before Jake Ward directed home a cross from man of the match Roy Crannage.

Long Lee Under-11s were at home to Heaton in a top of the league encounter, and won 6-4. Man of the match Shaun Quinlan scored a superb hat-trick with other goals coming from B Whiteoak, Sean Redman and an own goal. Danny Fazackerley and Joseph Holt also put in excellent performances.

Oakworth Under-13s secured a 6-2 victory over Long Lee thanks to goals by T Winterbottom (2), J Richmond, C Hudson, D Rhodes and J Morphet. Hudson and Richmond shared the man of the match award.
